SeaWorld San Diego Offers New Orca Experience in 2017

SeaWorld has announced exciting new additions to the company, including a new orca experience at SeaWorld San Diego. President and CEO Joel Manby announced the company has initiated production on a new orca presentation for its San Diego park.

The new experience will engage and inform guests by highlighting more of the species’ natural behaviors.
“The main point is we are listening to our guests. We’re evolving as a company. We’re always changing and, again, always evolving. That means that 2016 will be the last year of our theatrical killer whale experience called One Ocean," Manby said about the San Diego park. "In San Diego, in 2017 we will launch our all-new orca experience. It’s going to be focused more on the natural setting, natural environment and also the natural behaviors of the whales.”
The new orca experience will also include conservation messaging and tips that guests can take home, so that they can join SeaWorld’s efforts to make a difference for orcas in the wild. The current show, One Ocean, will run through 2016 in San Diego. Additionally, the new orca show is only planned for SeaWorld San Diego.
